I’ve been glued to the situation in Wisconsin for the past few days.
Some are suggesting this is smart politics on the part of the Democrats who fled to union stronghold, Chicago, Illinois. I strongly disagree, however, because elections just took place and the people of Wisconsin elected a Governor who campaigned on making tough choices in dealing with the deficit.
Furthermore, conservative groups are rallying to the call… finding benefits in doing so at every corner.
Take Americans for Prosperity, for example. AFP has been in Wisconsin running one of the most proactive, most productive free-market efforts in the entire state. Mark Block, long time tea party activists and state director for AFP has been in the trenches for years.
Americans for Prosperity is currently running a very targeted, highly relevant banner ad at the top of the Drudge Report.

The link sends you to a Stand with Scott Walker campaign with a short petition page.
Americans for Prosperity is also organizing a major counter rally in protest of the bankrupt message coming from the unions, and in support of Scott Walker.
In all honesty, this counter to the unions feels very much like the birth of the modern day tea party movement back in February of 2009. Rick Santelli made a comment about a “Chicago Tea Party,” and activists from across the country responded in a Historic way.
The unions and the Democrats they elect should be careful here. There is huge potential for unintended consequences here that would bring no benefit their way.

Sign making underway! Tomorrow we continue what we started during the march from Daley Plaza to the Tribune Tower!

WI elected him. WI knew what we were electing because unlike the some other candidate Scott Walker told us where he stood and what he believed in and WI voted YES! As much as a mandate that Obama touted when he won in 2008. Obama needs WI and has made a fatal error.
The people of this country are behind Scott Walker, the Democrats and unions are self serving and ignorant. Please stick to your guns Gov. Walker, it will have an impact on the entire country and thank you. We know this has taken alot of determination and strength of character
Eric, what is your opinion of Sharron Angle of Nevada? Why do you think she lost to Harry Reid?
